On June 24th, the newly arrived Chinese Ambassador H.E. Mr. Kong Xuanyou visited the Constitutional Democratic Party for his inaugural greetings, and met with Party Leader Yukio Edano, Supreme Advisor Banri Kaieda, member of the House of Representatives Shoichi Kondo and Director-General of the International Bureau Akiko Kamei. 

Having served as Minister of the Embassy of China to Tokyo between 2005 and 2011, the Ambassador is already acquainted with a number of Japanese parliamentarians.  The discussion topics ranged from the Olympics, China-US relations, the situation on the Korean Peninsula and more.

In conclusion of the meeting, both parties confirmed to continuously cooperate for friendship and peace in Asia.
