Head of German Friedrich Naumann Foundation meets with MP Yamauchi, Acting Chairperson of the Policy Research Council
On April 11, Mr. Christian Taaks, Head of the German Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) Korea office, visited Japan and met with Mr. Koichi Yamauchi, Acting Chairperson of the Policy Research Council of CDP.
FNF was established in 1958 by Prof. Theodor Heuss, the first President of the Federal Republic of Germany, and succeeds the liberalist Friedrich Naumann's idea of democracy. It is active in over 60 countries, organising publications, training and seminars on a wide range of topics including the economy, labor market, human rights, foreign policy, culture, history, infrastructure, energy, education, trade and more.
The two parties exchanged views on the prospects of the election campaign in Japan, the Japanese economy, Japan’s relations with South and North Korea, the impact of Brexit, and future cooperation between Japan and Germany.
