Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Japan, Her Excellency Ms. Patricia Flor, was officially inaugurated in November last year and visited the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan (CDP) on February 15 to exchange opinions with Party Leader Yukio Edano and International Director Akiko Kamei.

The discussion was initiated with the issues of the Japan-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) that came into effect on February 1 this year, and the Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA), the provisional application of which has begun.  The exchange continued to cover a wide range of topics, including the death penalty, women's empowerment, security and election strategies.
