On February 14th, Leader Yukio Edano and International Director Akiko Kamei hosted the visit of Singaporean Ambassador His Excellency Mr. Lui Tuck Yew. They exchanged views on the Japanese economy, social security, employment, consumption tax, election campaigns and more.

Asked about elections in Japan, Edano said, "The voting rate is now around 50%, and even a rise of only three more points could lead to fairly good results for opposition parties."
